"Sảng"

'Sảng' is what I'd call the after-taste of a melancholic, drunkening drink. Doesn't matter if it's a glass of red wine, or a cup of Pepsi Cola, any drink in the right atmosphere can bring one a sense of 'sảng'. For me, it's the last sip of coke under the red lights of potential love, knowing very well I'm drunk, but sober.

'You look like you're drunk!'

She said with a giggle.

'I may be', I muttered under my breath. I may be.

I longed for a friend to get drunk with. No, I didn't like alcohol back then. I was just a coke-loving kid.

But oh how I longed for a friend, one to get 'sảng' on my favorite drink with.
